1. Stop Boatswain

2. Update the repository

   apt-get update
   

3. Check if the new version is available in the repository

   apt-cache policy boatswain
   

4. Install the latest Boatswain

   apt-get install boatswain
   

5. Verify the version and if it is ok you can start the Boatswain service

   boatswain -v
   

CentOS / Fedora

1. Stop Boatswain

2. Update Boatswain using directly using the yum command

   yum update boatswain
   

3. Verify the version and if it is ok you can start the Boatswain service

   boatswain -v
